Tribute to Aaron Brent Marsh
Aaron Brent Marsh, just a week after his 15th birthday, was hit by a car while skateboarding with a friend at night. The boys were wearing all black, dodging cars, and they were on a street with only two streelights. The 25 year old female did not see the boys and both were hit and rushed to the hospital. Toree Porterfield, Aaron’s friend, survived with a fractured skull, a punctured lung, both legs broken, a shoulder broken, and a cracked shoulder blade. He had two cracked ribs and head trauma. The night of the crash was April 20, 2007 between 10:00 pm and 10:30 pm. Aaron was declared braindead at 11:00 am on April 21, 2007. We kept him on the life support until April 22, 2007, so that his whole family (or as many as could come), could visit and mourn him. After the family was done, Aaron’s immediate family, his Father, Stepmother, Mother, Stepfather, and 2 of his 3 older brothers went in for one last visit and family pictures. The plug was pulled a few ours later after the death certificates and organ donation papers were signed and filled out. This tribute is in loving memory of Aaron Brent Marsh.
